After her spaceship crash landed on this planet, Lauren the Cartoon Goddess (known to some as Lauren R. Rabinowitz) was raised by a nice family in the eastern United States. They assumed her interest in drawing little pictures was just an attribute of Martian tendencies and thankfully humoured her decision to pursue art as a career. That’s the bottom line – SHE MAKES ART (and websites).

Lauren is also a graphic arts educator. She has lectured, taught classes, given workshops, presentations and seminars for illustrators, cartoonists, animators and designers at various institutions of higher education, including Parsons School of Design, Syracuse University and The Joe Kubert School. Currently, she is teaching web design at duCret School of Art.

When she is not drawing monsters or playing bike frogger, Lauren can be found offering business advice to gift-bearing cats in the garden of her suburban New Jersey home.

You are indeed a cartoon goddess. Your drawings are very special.
    Your characters are original.

I can’t wait to see more.

You are a goddess. Not just of cartooning. Also of your continual posting, drawing, widening your world into and across the internet. This is what I find pretty overwhelming. I started a discussion on one of the blogcatalog groups about communication between artist generations and how us older ones are making the transition. And thank you for viewing my site.

    Hi Lauren,

I just wanted to say your work is very inspirational – and your sense of humour is great too!

I couldn’t really comment on any one piece of yours because they’re all really impressive, but your “plague” pieces stand out in particular :-)
